Finish line photos were courtesy of John Bridge - a club member. Thanks John, I know they will be appreciated.

Results for today are now out, including overalls. IGC files will appear shortly.

Olly Ward (a former Junior National Champion) has taken the lead - he is now 3 points ahead of Russell Cheetham and Pete Harvey.
06.09.2006 17:19:55
Phil Jeffery is the last of the 4 finishers. Scoring will be easy.
06.09.2006 16:53:51
Steve Jones and Pete Harvey have called 5 minutes but Chris Curtis in Z27 has landed out
06.09.2006 16:47:40
We have a finisher - Olly Ward in 183 might well be the winner but there are still more to come. Oliver comes into control and asks if anyone needs a retrieve!!
06.09.2006 16:42:45
X1 is down near Olney. Lemmy's landback is looking more and more sensible!
06.09.2006 16:38:51
The day is proving more difficult that it looks. Richard Hood (352) is the latest to land in a farmers field. Russell Cheetham is keeping him company.
06.09.2006 16:32:17
We have just heard that Phil Jones (current 18m World Champion) has landed out near Olney.
06.09.2006 16:23:03
Alan Garrity has landed at Olney safely and Lemmy Tanner has landed back at GRL. There are still 12 flying.
06.09.2006 16:16:44
Frank Davies has landed out in 25 - safe and sound
06.09.2006 15:40:11
The new task is now in the tasks page.
06.09.2006 15:19:53
The gate is open at 3000ft. Lemmy Tanner, in LT, landed back but can take a tow to 3000ft - Steve Jones asks that this be done very slowly now the gate is open. A couple of 20m turbos are tacking on behind. More news as it happens - this probably won't be an easy day.
06.09.2006 15:13:20
They are now at 3000ft and 5 minutes to the start line opening. C6 is back in the air after Robert Welford lent him a new Prandlt tube.
06.09.2006 15:04:24
Brian has just made the 15 minute call so the gate should open at 15-20. Thermal strength is reported at 2-3 knts but the gaggle is a bit low - under 2000ft - behind the start line. No one has landed back due to conditions and there is more cumulus forming to the north which is where the first turnpoint is. There are no bonus points today for reaching any of the turnpoints fastest.
06.09.2006 14:52:31
We have a new task - task C Gransden Lodge - Earith - Olney - Papworth - Finish for 125.7Km - full details will appear later.
06.09.2006 14:49:10
They have all launched but the start is not open yet. C6 (Mike Jordy) has landed back with a dodgy ASI which is being fixed right now.
06.09.2006 13:45:45
10 Mins to first launch. It's blue out there - take a look at the web cams.
06.09.2006 12:01:41
30 Mins to the first launch with a start likely to be around 13-15 If you want to come and watch this exciting event live, you would be more than welcome - go to www.glide.co.uk and there you will find directions to the hosting club - Cambridge Gliding Centre. If you only want to see the finish, be here at about 3pm.
06.09.2006 09:27:21
